Emilia Larsson
HR Business Partner and keen yogi
I came to Antaros Medical as a HR Assistant in 2020. I came here straight from university, where I studied a master’s in strategic human resource management. I was drawn to Human Resources (HR) because I feel that with a HR role there is a real closeness to all parts of the organisation. Our knowledge of the value of people in a business, how to build commitment, implement sustainable working, and develop our leaders – these are all highly valued at Antaros Medical. We need to be present, and to develop relationships across the whole organisation. That’s how I’ve been trained in HR. These relationships are at the heart of everything.
Growing alongside a growing organisation
During my time at Antaros Medical I have been able to develop, and my role has grown broader and to include a strategic focus. I support in many areas of HR. I work a lot with our work environment, processes for onboarding our new employees, our international expansion, and providing managerial support. Through this I’m also learning a lot from our managers, seeing the different nuances of great leadership and ways of reasoning through a variety of situations. We work closely and with a rather flat hierarchy here at Antaros Medical, so the connection at all levels and between all roles and functions is so important.
“HR is high on the agenda here”
Our culture is constantly being built
As a rapidly growing company, we have maintained much of the culture of openness and cooperation that we have carried with us from the beginning. Culture can be difficult to put into words. It is just as much about how people act and behave. How we greet each other in the morning or say goodbye in the evenings. The stories and jokes that are told during lunch. Culture is constantly being built and is subject to change. We are very proud of the culture we have at Antaros Medical. Developing our Culture Handbook was a project that required a lot of input from a lot of people, and this process also helped us to strengthen our company values. And we could be confident that they accurately reflected our way of working.
Yoga, travel, and books
When I’m free, I do a lot of yoga. I have been doing it for more than 10 years now and love it. I also love to travel to big cities around the world. I love seeing new places, experiencing other cultures and trying different foods. I share my love for travel with my partner. We have just recently been in Dublin for a few days. It’s a fantastic city, especially if, like me, you like to collect books and walk around in second hand bookstores.
