Our commitment to sustainability

Sustainability is crucial for the future of our planet, but it is also crucial for the future of our company

At Antaros Medical, we believe that we have a responsibility to make the difference that we can. We are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally, socially, and ethically responsible manner, and to actively integrating sustainable practices throughout our strategy and operations.

We admit that we are quite early in our sustainability journey, but that is exactly how we are thinking about it – as a journey. This is a long-term commitment and a project that involves all aspects of our work. And an area where there is always room for improvement and possibilities for coming up with new ideas.

We are proud of where we are today and of the progress we have made so far. While we already had various parts in place before, some of our recent milestones have been:

This was an easy decision for us – we operate and are committed to doing business in a way that upholds the ten principles across human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies in more than 160 countries.
This is part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and during this process we learnt a lot about greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and how to measure and report accurately. We are proud that we currently have no Scope 1 or 2 emissions, and we continue to utilise 100% renewable energy, even as we continue to grow and expand internationally. We are focusing our environmental sustainability initiatives on reducing our Scope 3 emissions.
This was our first external and independent evaluation of our sustainability work. Ecovadis is a trusted provider of annual business sustainability ratings, assessing indicators across four themes: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We are proud to have scored in the 92nd percentile of all assessed companies.
Our people are the foundation of everything that we do. This is also the case with sustainability. Engaging our people to actively think about sustainability is the best way we can make an impact. It was also a great opportunity to capture different ideas and potential initatives.
Throughout the spring in 2024, we had 2 students from the MSc Industrial Ecology at Chalmers University of Technology join us to write their thesis. Their aim was to look at how we, as a knowledge-creating service provider (with no production or manufacturing), can make the most meaningful impact and can work to influence our value chain.
In July 2024, we once again received a silver medal from EcoVadis. We improved our overall score and now rank within the 93rd percentile of all assessed companies. This was our second evaluation from EcoVadis, a trusted provider of annual business sustainability ratings, assessing indicators across four themes: environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Our work with sustainability is ongoing. If you have any questions about our commitment to sustainability or if you have any suggestions for us, please reach out.
