Antaros Medical to speak at PSC Forum 9 on the role of imaging in advancing drug development

Moritz Schneider, Senior Imaging Director at Antaros Medical, will be speaking at the PSC Forum 9 hosted by the Forum for Collaborative Research on Thursday November 6 in Washington D.C. The event brings together global experts to address a great unmet need in hepatology: developing effective therapies for primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). PSC is a rare and progressive liver disease marked by inflammation and scarring of the bile ducts, often leading to liver failure or the need for transplantation. Given the slow and variable course of PSC and the absence of approved therapies, there is a pressing need for sensitive, non-invasive biomarkers to monitor disease progression and treatment response.

Moritz will present on how advanced imaging can help overcome some of the key challenges in PSC drug development, particularly the urgent need for non-invasive, sensitive, and early-response biomarkers. His talk “Innovative PSC Testing Modalities: Advancements in Functional MRI and Molecular Imaging” will explore, among other things, gadoxetate-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a non-invasive biomarker to provide early insights into liver function in PSC.
