Johannes Hulthe (CEO) and Lars Johansson (CSO), co-founders of Antaros Medical were honoured to be presented with the Arvid Carlsson Award at the Park Annual 2024 event this evening.
The Arvid Carlsson Award is bestowed annually by the Sahlgrenska Science Park in connection with the Park Annual Event to pay tribute to innovation, knowledge and competence in conjunction with good entrepreneurship.
Comments from the jury cited cutting-edge imaging technologies and the development of biomarkers that help pharmaceutical companies make critical decisions in clinical trials in disease areas like obesity and other metabolic diseases. They also credited Johannes and Lars for their success in building an international company, and the lasting impact Antaros has made strengthening the region’s life science ecosystem.
Johannes Hulthe, who accepted the award, commented “We are very grateful to receive the Arvid Carlsson award, especially this year as 2024 is the 10-year anniversary of Antaros Medical. It has been a challenging but extremely rewarding journey in building the company and we are really honoured for this recognition which we share with everyone at Antaros, without whom this would not have been possible”.
Lars Johansson also added, over the phone from the United States, “The idea for Antaros Medical was to meet the need for innovative biomarker solutions in the drug development industry. Building a company that today can truly partner with the big international pharmaceutical companies has required both scientific excellence but also a strong quality platform. I can only echo Johannes in thanking the jury for this honour and thanking everyone who has made this journey possible”.
