Lars Johansson, CSO at Antaros Medical, has been invited speak on the panel for ‘Optimizing Body Composition Changes in the Era of Incretin-Based Weight Loss Therapies: The New Frontier’, a breakfast symposium at the ADA 2026 Scientific Sessions.
Incretin-based therapies, in particular glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, have shown unprecedented weight loss effects. However, it is increasingly important to look deeper at the weight loss with body composition assessments in order to answer questions about metabolic effects and potential health benefits.
Lars joins an expert speaker panel featuring Stefan Anker, Enrique Caballero, Carla Prado, and Donna Ryan. Together they will add various perspectives on body composition and how to use changes in body composition as signals of metabolic improvement and potential lasting health benefits.
This session takes place on June 6 and 6:15 CDT in the St. Charles Ballroom, Hilton New Orleans Riverside. It is jointly hosted by the Society on Sarcopenia, Cachexia and Wasting Disorders (SCWD) and Partners for Advancing Clinical Education, and is supported by an independent educational grant from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
