At Antaros Medical, we are pioneering imaging methodologies, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), to design and deliver clinical studies for decision making and differentiation in clinical drug development.

As a part of our growth journey, we are looking for Director, Business Development, to our US subsidiary, with experience in clinical drug development. The position will be placed internationally home-based in the US.

As a Director of Business Development, you will have a focus on building sustainable customer relationships and generating sales by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business in Antaros Medical’s strategic areas of interest within a specific region or territory in the US.

At a high-level, this role will generate and secure short and long-term profitable business through proactive business development and account management based on a fundamental understanding of the customers’ business, operations and objectives. An existing network in the pharma industry is highly desired.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Build and develop a sales strategy according to Antaros’ brand and strategic goals within target companies in an assigned geography in the US.
  • Generate sales meetings and build sustainable business relationships with the goal of converting opportunity to revenue.
  • Leverage Antaros’ internal imaging, drug development and operations expertise to provide tailored imaging solutions that meet the clinical development needs of potential clients
  • Generate new business leads and manage the sales process.
  • Develop and maintain strategic and key relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients but also Key Opinion Leaders.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that you are invested and focused in your character and related to the nature of your work, with a high level of diligence and commitment. The role requires strategic planning and consultative selling, while interfacing with senior decision makers.

You have demonstrated ability to develop successful sales strategies and to build rapport with clients, which is channeled through your excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication- and presentation skills.

We are further looking for you who are confident in your knowledge of the imaging CRO industry, and have strong understanding of the drug development process and clinical trials.

Requirements:

  • Master’s in healthcare or business administration in a similar field
  • 3-5 years of experience of Imaging solutions in either a sales, business development or similar position gained within clinical trials/drug development
  • Professional experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other sales related tools
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, with the ability to travel frequently
  • Reside in within assigned geography

Advanced degree, e.g. PhD, in life science or technical discipline, is highly desirable for the role, as is imaging related training, e.g. Advanced degree in MRI or PET, however not required.

Competencies prioritized for the role:

  • Manage a larger geographic territory in the Eastern US with concentration in the Boston Area, Or
  • Manage a larger geographic territory in the Western US with concentration in the Bay Area or SoCal
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive activities and global trends
