Antaros Medical, alongside our collaborators from Uppsala University Hospital, will present new data looking at changes in lean vs. adipose tissue loss in short- and long-term weight loss in patients with obesity following bariatric surgery. Lars Johansson (Chief Scientific Officer @ Antaros Medical) will be presenting the poster next week at the the EASL Congress 2023.
The study involved body composition assessment using whole-body Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of patients with obesity at baseline, and after 1, 6, and 12 months post bariatric surgery. The relative contributions of lean and adipose tissue compared to total weight loss was calculated at each time point.
The European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) Congress will be held from June 21-24 in Vienna, Austria as well as virtually.
