Innovative imaging markers for assessment of liver fibrosis

Olof Eriksson (Director, PET imaging at Antaros Medical and associate professor at Uppsala University) and colleagues at Uppsala University have recently published a review article on advancements in the use of position emission tomography (PET) for minimally invasive assessment of liver fibrosis. This imaging technique has the potential to overcome today’s challenges to assess liver fibrosis in e.g. longitudinal interventional studies.
