Imiomics generated findings on modulating effects of type 2 diabetes on the aging body – presented at EASD 2022

Joel Kullberg (VP Innovation and Patents at Antaros Medical and Associate Professor at Uppsala University) and colleagues from Uppsala University are presenting new findings on large-scale analysis of neck-to-knee magnetic resonance images of body composition in type 2 diabetes (T2D) and aging at EASD 2022. Images from around 40,000 UK Biobank participants were analyzed using Imiomics, an image analysis approach at the voxel-level that utilizes all collected information in an image. Using Imiomics generated new findings that would be difficult to study using other techniques. Explore the findings of the modulating effects of T2D on the aging body in the abstract presented as an oral presentation on Thursday 22 September 2022 @14.30-16.00 (Session ‘OP 31 Diabetes: size matters’).
