Antaros Medical welcomes new experts

Antaros Medical, the drug development innovator pioneering new frontiers in imaging techniques, has today announced three new strategic appointments: Olof Eriksson as the Director PET Imaging, Edvin Johansson as the Director MR Imaging & Modelling, and Christina Moberg as the Vice President Strategy & Marketing.

Olof Eriksson, PhD, MSc, Associate Professor in Molecular Imaging from Uppsala University, and Edvin Johansson, PhD in Medical Radiation Physics from Lund University, are both widely respected experts in the imaging area.

Olof is joining Antaros from Uppsala University where he led a research group directed at utilising PET imaging techniques for unravelling molecular processes occurring during the progress of diabetes. He acts also as the Secretary and board member of DIAB-IMAGE, EASD study group for biomedical imaging in diabetes. Olof’s scientific track record embraces many publications, research grants and international awards. Olof will join Antaros corelab in Uppsala, and strengthen the team in particular PET methodology development and analysis.

Edvin has recently held a position as Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D in Gothenburg, where his role was to identify, design and conduct preclinical imaging studies in disease areas cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity. Edvin has shared his work through publications in several scientific journals and presentations at international conferences. Edvin will drive Antaros imaging studies from Antaros business and project office in the BioVentureHub in Mölndal.

Also, Christina Moberg, VP Strategy & Marketing, will join Antaros in the BioVentureHub in Mölndal and will, in her role, focus on the company’s business strategy further development and marketing management. Christina brings many years’ of experience from early development to commercialisation of brands worldwide. Christina is joining Antaros from AstraZeneca, where she over the years held a number of senior positions within global strategic marketing, business development and external scientific affairs.
